Maputo hosted the Meeting of African Trade Ministers from February 25-26, 2026

 

 

The debate among African Trade Ministers served to align the continent’s position towards the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Mozambique calls for strengthened African coordination in international trade.

WTO Director-General leads strategic meeting with African Trade Ministers in Maputo. The meeting, led by Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, allowed for the alignment of Africa’s priorities in preparation for the WTO Ministerial Conference, to be held in March in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
