Foreign Trade

Mozambique is a signatory to several bilateral (Turkey, Thailand,) and multilateral trade agreements (SADC Trade Protocol, SADC-European Union Economic Partnership Agreement), whose objectives are to promote trade and investment.

With regard to market access, Mozambique has ratified the SADC Trade Protocol and the SADC-European Union Economic Partnership Agreement, which aim to liberalize trade between Mozambique and SADC member countries and the European Union respectively.

It is in this context (SADC Trade Protocol and the SADC-European Union Economic Partnership Agreement), that products certified as originating in Mozambique access the market SADC and the European Union free of customs payments and without quantitative restrictions.
